Musical Instrument Rental Scheme 2007 - 2008

Rent for an initial period of 4 months, then extend that rental for up to a year if you want.
There are generous discounts available along the way if you choose to buy the instrument, and we offer free insurance against damage. We have the best choice of instruments, and experienced sales staff to guide you in making the right choice to suit your ambitiions and budget. Our in-house technicians will take care of maintenance, or solve any problems with the minimum of fuss, and we stock all the accessories and books etc. that you will ever need.

If you wish to buy outright we can offer an even better price.

Qualifying pupils at LEA schools are also able to take advantage of the Assisted Purchase Vat Free scheme when purchasing the instrument, even after renting it, adding an even greater saving.

How does it work?

You may rent an instrument for up to 1 full year, in four month periods.

At the end of the first rental period, you have three options.

1. Return the instrument after 4 months with no further charges.
2. Rent the instrument for a further four month period.
3. Purchase the instrument outright, after deducting the rental paid from the balance.

SUPERSAVE OFFER - if you decide to buy the instrument outright within the first three months, and pay for it within the first three months, we will take 15% off the balance., for example.....

At the end of the second rental period you have three options.

1. Return the instrument with no further charges.
2. Rent the instrument for a further four month period.
3. Purchase the instrument outright, after deducting both rentals paid.

At the end of the third rental period, you have two options.

1. Return the instrument with no further charges.
2. Purchase the instrument outright, after deducting all three rental paid.

SAVE EVEN MORE MONEY
Pupils at qualifying LEA schools may be able to take advantage of the Assisted Purchase Vat Free Scheme, so that when buying the instrument it is possible to save the V.A.T. element of the balance, making even greater savings. The pupil must satisfy certain conditions, and this must be arranged through the school where instruction is taking place, but we would be happy to advise you.

Terms and Conditions

1. You must be over 18 years old.
2. You must have a valid, permanent, UK address.
3. You must provide two separate forms of official identification with your signature and address, such as driving licence or utility bill.
4. We will take your photograph in the shop and retain it with the rental details.
5. All rentals are at the discretion of Mev Taylor's, and the instruments remain in our ownership until paid in full.
6. We insure the instrument against damage, but not loss or theft.
7. If you are returning an instrument, it must be back with us by the due date, or there is a weekly charge.
